Other vehicles you should hate, but ending up kind of liking?

Those are her bugs, not mine. Besides, the rain and snow tends to clean them off nicely, and automatically.

Other vehicles you should hate, but ending up kind of liking?

No, I had a lowly Q5 between two GT AWDs, but she's had a Q3, a couple of Q5s, the RS6Avant, and one each Q8, SQ8, and RSQ8. All in fairly rapid succession. And you'll never guess what her favorite color is.

Other vehicles you should hate, but ending up kind of liking?

Apparently it didn't quite like hauling a number of bags of horse food, so it got replaced with an RSQ8.

And you shouldn't have said it. Now your cover is blown, pinko.

    NOVEMBER 2024 HFCOTM

Nah. They're biased against me. Submitted a nice photo a couple of years ago, then did the honest thing and explained that the photo was staged. Apparently two rights can make a wrong.

Have fog lamps been dropped for 2024 SRT392 DDs?

I've never seen one that didn't come with the regular black filter, and that said factory installed on it. Then again, I never had a Viper.

    Where will we all be

Mental health?? If that factors in, 1971Demon and I should've given up our 'Cats a long time ago.

Have fog lamps been dropped for 2024 SRT392 DDs?

When picking up an ordered Audi SQ8 I noticed that it didn't have fog lights like her previous Q8 did. Mentioned it to the salesman who said "With these LED HID headlights there's no need for fog lights". Okay, I said, not about to argue about the usefulness of fog lights' lower position, or...

Other vehicles you should hate, but ending up kind of liking?

I'm not married, but if she bought a Prius I really wouldn't be married.

What did you do to your Hellcat today?

I'm determined to drive mine before it gets too late. If for no other reason, to put some fresh gas in it.

    Where will we all be

As long as I can hang onto my drivers license, the 'Cat stays. I've had many cars I really, really liked, but the Challenger is special in several ways.

Other vehicles you should hate, but ending up kind of liking?

Of all things, the TRX. Keep in mind that I don't like 1/2-tons and don't care for how the new ones look, but... After trailering my girlfriend's home and looking at the hardware underneath I was very impressed. A-arms and such looked like they belonged on a 3/4 or 1-ton. Everything was much...

    DDSRT - Random Questions

Order up some magnetic level plugs (I have been using Votex from Amazon) so you can put them in when checking the levels and/or changing the fluid. Oh, and on the positive side, my '23 Durango 6.2 was the only vehicle out of quite a few over the years that actually had correct fluid levels as...

    DDSRT - Random Questions

I'm pretty sure that the 6-month rule is aimed primarily at people that don't take their car to the track. Those owners are most likely aware of that the oil can take a beating from hard use. In contrast, the owners who drive a few miles to a car show once a week, maybe cold start the car at...

    DDSRT - Random Questions

My reason for the early (generally at 500-1,000 miles) fluid changes is to get the break-in crap out of there. Most all vehicles have somewhat dismal oil analysis results on their first oil, and the magnetic plugs can pick up quite a bit of ferrous particles in the beginning. Dealers don't...

Anyone know of anyone that's bought a Hornet? Or have you seen one in the wild?

Two problems. They haven't produced enough of them to cover a day's worth of border crossers. Secondly, he has no idea how to exit a stage, except the wrong way.

    DDSRT - Random Questions

These days the engine probably doesn't need much cuddling, but there are parts behind it that could use some. You only get one chance at breaking in the gears correctly and judging by the somewhat common complaints about noisy diffs, few people do that correctly (not even taking into account...

Anyone know of anyone that's bought a Hornet? Or have you seen one in the wild?

Well, I kinda was. Bought a heavily optioned (all but a sunroof) used Durango after the Hornets came out. Yes, it has over 90,000 miles on it, but cost less than a new (discounted) Hornet and will likely last longer. Plus, not being seen in a Hornet is priceless.
