Future Build

As some of you know I sold my Hellcat and will be purchasing a RE WB in the spring. I'll be building this up and have put together a fairly good list of my build. I'd like opinions of the future build as well as any suggestions of what I may need but have missed. My goal is a solid build that I can daily drive if I want and rip off some track days on weekends, again reliability is key. You don’t have a diff brace on your list. The DIRS front and rear would be a suggestion. For those weekend track days you’ll need a set of track wheels and tires. 20” wheels are going to be a handicap on the track. 17’s will be a minimum with the power you’ll be making. And (my personal experience and observation)... the Diablo Trinity is unreliable. I’m on my third and others I know have had issues with it as well.

Your right, Added the brace the wheels I'll probably do later. As far as Diablo I'm glad you mentioned it as I have zero experience with Diablo. My last HC was tuned with HPT. It seems HHP doesn't use HP Tuners. That's something I'll need to research as the time gets closer. Thanks for your input..

Did you ever race your old Hellcat?

A couple of times mostly sneaky on the street. This time I wanna go to the track and get some actual times. The couple times I ran before were just against others with NT mainly cuz I didn't wanna see how bad I would do...LOL

Silver Billet, I see it says you sold the Charger??? Did you get something else??

No. Sold my Daytona too ( my new golf cart cost more than I got for my Daytona). Just part of our downsizing before we move permanently to our other home in Florida next Fall. Keeping my Barracuda for now but not real attached to it either. I’d really like to get a Charger Redeye but the Barracuda would have to go. I have options. I’m just going to have room for one toy, a daily driver and two golf carts. Once we move, the 2001 CTD and 24’ trailer will also be sold.

Retired a few years ago and built a new house in Florida. It will be less cars and coffee and more golf! I still really enjoy associating with these awesome machines vicariously through all the guys on this Forum! Hope you get to build your car but can’t help but think a stock REWB in the color combo you want would not need any improvements?

Yeah well, I just can't leave anything alone.. Been that way my whole life.... It's a weird quirk I have. It was exasperated when I retired after 30 years in the ARMY and found myself trying to figure things out if you get what I mean. So, it keeps me busy and keeps my mind from getting dulled.

Nice parts list, If I was going to update the heads, I'd consider going all the way to a set of Thiteks. I agree with Marc on the wheels/tires. The 17" Mts are really good, if you don't want to go the 15" rear wheel conversion. Much better than the 20" or 18" options.

I really thought about the heads, cost kept me away. I figured I'd go this route and if something happens then I'd be forced into Thiteks, and I'd be ok with that.

What fuel are you running? I see the 2.85 upper, but no lower. You have a nice fuel system picked out... so I would imaging you're going to run E85, and if so, I'd either pulley down more on the snout or add a 10% lower to make some real power (or both).

Yep, I forgot the 10% lower.. It's been added to my cart now.. Thanks! E85 isn't readily available around here as of yet. For fuel I'll have it tuned for 93 and EVO10 I think but not for sure yet.

Agree with Marc about the power and trying to put it to the ground.

The rear diff brace is $200 and will save you from wheel hop and snapping your driveshaft or diff, thus saving thousands of dollars in repair bills.

As far as tires, agree with @DMNkilr. Go with 15" conversion, add beadlock wheels and 315 tires and MT ET Pro 315/60/15 will hook up and give you the best results. In my opinion, any less of a tire will be a spin feast and you will not see the ET per the money you spent on power.

One last thing, spinning a ported blower with a 2.65 upper & 10% lower is causing a lot of heat and I would only run a 2.75 with 10%. Talk to Josh (HHP) if this is a good idea on the 2.65/10%.

Dman007, I think you missed it... I already added the brace to the list and I'm not running a 2.65 upper, I'll run a 2.85. Thanks for the input, as far as wheels I may end up with a street set and strip set. I'll have to see how that pans out as I don't have gobs of money and I'm already over my original budget lol...

Get rid of the KB boost a pump. Some have been known to fail and Ka Boom!
You mine as well just upgrade to a triple pump system for room to grow in the future. Don’t skimp out on your fuel system.
mine as well get the 1700cc injections as well.

You are looking at $2200 for the dual pump with BAP fuel system. The pumps are good. The BAP’s have been proven to be less than 100% reliable. Plus... I don’t like juicing the pumps to “make them work harder”. It works but.... Suggestion...... We have two cars in the shop (one of them mine) that are removing Fore 525 triple pump systems that are full return and rated for 1700 hp without boosting voltage. Full steel braided fuel lines (both supply and return), adjustable pressure regulator, inline billet filter, etc. Both are in like new condition. I will sell mine for $2500 complete (minus fuel rails). I would also suggest going with 1700 injectors. A few extra dollars but they buy you some breathing room.

I would get away from using the 525 and go to the improved flow 535 pumps.
